Medical Billing Training
Looking for a Career in a Growing Field?
Medical billing is a rapidly growing field with many career opportunities. St. Ann’s Management Company can provide Medical Billing training for current staff and any interested individuals.
Interested in Becoming a Professional Medical Biller?
Medical billing is a field that requires specific knowledge and skills to provide medical practices with full payment for services rendered by reviewing, submitting and following up on claims. Medical billing is separate from medical coding. Professional Medical Billers possess a solid understanding of the various types of health insurances and how to submit, review and resolve claim denials, while maintaining healthcare privacy regulations. Additional responsibilities may include completion of appeals, collections management and more.
St. Ann’s Management Company offers an 8-week course in Medical Billing. Participants meet one day per week for eight weeks to learn about medical billing, while preparing to take the certification exam. Training fees include the course work (offered online or in person), required workbooks, the Certified Medical Biller Exam fee, and your first year of membership in the Medical Association of Billers. In the unlikely event you do not pass the exam on your first try, your tuition will cover a second exam if is taken within 30 days from the date of your first exam.
“Due to this certification course, I landed a great opportunity as a part time Medical Biller, and as a first-time mom, this process was perfect for me and my family since the classes were flexible and not drawn out.”
– Taquilla, Medical Billing course graduate

Our staff also provide training in Certified Medical Coding through the Practice Management Institute.
Professional coding proficiency is in high demand at medical offices. Medical coding requires expertise in assigning the correct diagnostic, procedure, equipment, or medical service code for the insurance carriers to pay the medical practices accurately.
